The Commonwealth Judo Association aims to promote and develop the sport of Judo, at all levels, in and throughout the Commonwealth. A key aim of the association is to keep Judo in the programming of the Commonwealth Games, and to regulate the competition at the Commonwealth Judo Championships. The Commonwealth Judo Association strives to promote friendly relations with all its members.
Position: Digital Communications Officer
Job description
There is an exciting opportunity for somebody interested in judo, to enhance their CV through an internship in the position of Digital Communications Officer. The intern is required to work 2 hours per week and will be based in an office in Bath, UK.
The candidate will be focussing their attention on making regular updates to the website pages and promoting relevant news items via the website and social media sites. Specifically the role will encompass the following tasks:
Update website contents such as news items, images, contact information
Create and manage social media pages
Communicate with federations in search for and to promote relevant news items
Improve overall appearance of website
Communicate with federations to promote new website
Candidates are not required to hold specific web developer IT skills. Successful candidates will however be confident in using social media sites and basic packages such as Microsoft Office (specifically Word).
Knowledge of judo would be ideal however not essential.
The position will be based in an office environment in the city of Bath. Provision of laptop/computer will be provided for the role.
This is an unpaid internship.
